The purpose of these wrist bands is to raise awareness about Jackson to spread his story far and wide and to show your support with the rest of Jax Army, and as Jax big sister says “look cool”.

All profits will go into Jackson’s fund – this is for things that Jackson needs now or in the future. It is to help us give Jackson as much of a ‘normal’ life as possible.

The NHS provide Jackson with all of his basic equipment he needs but as you all know, funding is stretched to the limits, so any additional extras Jax may need we fund ourselves.

Unfortunately anything with the tagline Special Needs or Disabled means a hefty price tag. An example of this is the weighted ball blanket that was recommended to us by Jax’s amazing Occupational Therapist. The blanket is to help ground him and help him feel safe when he gets distressed and when his SPD takes over. We initially got to try one through the hospital (the only one in the whole hospital), the effect it had on jax was amazing and immediate and it was agreed by all that he would benefit from one. This cost over £400 but from your kind donations and fundraising we were able to get him one and he reaps the benefits daily !

Lots of fundraising has also paid for Jacksons bedroom to be made into a sensory safe haven for him for when he does get home. This is not yet completed but you can follow the progress in the album ‘the transformation’ on Facebook.

We will be going to GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) at some point and we may need funding for that but at the minute we do not know what is going to come up but this gives an idea of the sort of thing is what your money from the wristbands is paying for.  If you any queries please ask
